When Kazuya was five years old, Kazuya found out his mother died at the hands of his father and attempt to get revenge against him. Most importantly, Kazuya is the father of Jin Kazama through a relationship with Jun Kazama. He has a foster brother, Lee Chaolan, who was adopted by Heihachi, and also a half-brother, Lars Alexandersson, Heihachi's illegitimate son. According to Namco's official backstory, Kazuya is the son of Kazumi and Heihachi Mishima, the long-time CEO of a powerful worldwide conglomerate called the Mishima Zaibatsu, and grandson of Jinpachi Mishima.
